Roads

A feeling of longing for an old road that was followed and feels too familiar, as one misses it but discarded it sometime earlier in a past. That past acts as a book, to learn from and criticize, like watching a small child carry on with his deeds, and you, unable to alter what he does, only act as an observer, with so little to do, and so much to know.

Roads cross as there are Billions and Billions of them. One might be amazed with how people's roads cross here and there, and feels more amazed when thinks "why?".. When calm music goes through your ears as you are riding on a bus, watching the streets, a creative part of your brain wants to write about that, sing about that, sigh about that, and moreover wishes to share that, with someone going the same road, having the same impulse, be it a desert road or a rosy one, be it a bumpy ride or a really smooth one..

It just needs to be shared..

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

The way roads cross amazes me Abdo!

particularly, when you wonder "why?".. WOW.. That's another mystery..

It's pretty fascinating seeing how people react to such "crossing" & how they accept & enjoy.. And how others fight all the way..

I wish we could all let things be for a second, breathe in & out & remember to be happy.. Be really happy :)

Why is not affordable when it comes to mental currency.. if you know what i mean.. we are poor :D

i like to think about the 'crossing' thing as an abstract object.. you can add different values to it and come up with a different result everytime.. the values are people.. the permutations are absolutely infinite, but all in one book up there.. according to the invisible "system" that works in silence..

subhanAllah!

...

that's just me when someone says something good about me..

and its good to think that way.. i think *scratches head*.. maybe its related somehow to my computer science background, thinking of objects, attributes, methods and arguments.. Object-oriented way of thinking is by far the most logical way to organize the things we see..

then again: i think, not particularly true..

btw i hate people who love to add their "buts" in every argument even when they don't even have an argument.. just a thought..

like dad.. he did engineering.. most probably that's why you guys talk like that.. Extremely logical :)

I hate people "butbutting" all the time too.. If you read the hamada, moushira & their surrounding environment, you'd know why people butbut :D
